About

Founded in 1955, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with more than 120,000 members. We represent social workers in micro and macro settings, all practice areas in every community throughout the state.  As a chapter, Delaware promotes, develops, and protects the practice of social work and social workers and, through its work and advocacy, seeks to enhance the effective functioning and well-being of individuals, families and communities.

Commitment to Diversity

The Delaware Chapter is committed to creating a space where all members feel welcome and as such, we have developed a comprehensive diversity plan that outlines intentional efforts to diversify our organization in the areas of membership, leadership, business practices, education programs, advocacy, and collaborations & partnerships.
