About Our Events
Connecting with your peers, colleagues and networking is critical. As a chapter, we offer year-round opportunities for you to relax, build relationships and develop your professional skills. Many of our events are virtual and open to the public, while others are reserved for our members. However, our professional development events and continuing education programs are always available to both members and non-members.
Common Event Types
Annual Conference
Annually we host a multiple CE credit themed conference to allow social workers to collect CE credits, and engage in interesting topics of conversation to inspire your own work and perspective.
Continuing Education Events
Most CE events created by NASW-DE are FREE for NASW Delaware Members.
Chapter Partnerships
As a small chapter, sometimes we partner with other chapters to offer more CE opportunities; CEs in partnership with other chapters may require payment from members, however as a member you will receive a reduced price from the regular fee (as not all chapters offer FREE CEs for their members).
Community Conversations
Community conversations compose of interesting topics relevant to social work and other related fields. These events are not eligible for continuing education credits, and are FREE for all to attend.
Licensing Q&As
Join us on the 2nd Thursday of every month (with some exceptions) for a FREE licensing Q&A with NASW-DE staff. You'll have a chance to ask your pressing licensing questions and learn about new licensing updates.
(5 CEU) Clinical Supervision Certificate Program
Multiple times a year we schedule our Clinical Supervision Certificate Program which allows you to become credentialed as a clinical supervisor in the state of Delaware, maintain your clinical supervisor status (if you already meet the requirements), and earn CEUs towards your licensure (P.S. our CEUs count in most states towards licensure requirements!). After completing the certificate program you will be listed for FREE on our NASW-DE Clinical Supervisor Database.
Self-Care Events
NASW-DE recognizes the importance of scheduling in self-care and maintaining balance in our overall wellness, especially within the social work profession. That is why we do our best to schedule recurring self-care events. This way you can refill your energy, decompress, and all in all, enjoy some personal care time to relax your body and your mind.
In-Person Events
Quarterly we hope to hold in-person events where chapter staff will interact and provide the opportunity for fellow peers to connect and interact in-person state government guidelines permitting.
We invite you explore our calendar of events and discover what opportunities fit your schedule.
We are committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for all at NASW-DE events. Please review our Code of Conduct, which outlines our expectations for those who participate our programs, and a sample of our COVID-19 Event Waiver for in-person gatherings.
