Synopsis: Have you ever considered becoming a clinical supervisor to masters-level clinicians seeking clinical licensure? Are you a current clinical supervisor seeking to further your knowledge of this critical work? Are you looking to expand your skills and grow your business with a new certification?
NASW-DE's Clinical Supervision Certificate program allows you to become credentialed as a clinical supervisor in the state of Delaware, maintain your clinical supervisor status (if you already meet the requirements), and earn CEUs towards your licensure (P.S., our CEUs count in most states towards licensure requirements!). 
Clinical supervision is different than regular supervision.  Discover the difference and earn your supervision certificate through NASW-DE.  In this 1-day certificate program, you will learn how to recognize and identify the critical aspects of an interactional model of clinical supervision and be able to incorporate this model in a clinical supervisor role. This course is for those who have held their LCSW for at least 3 years and who wish to supervise Delaware LMSWs seeking their clinical hours.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this program attendees will be able to: 
1. Recognize the relationship between clinical supervision & the treatment of a client/patient/consumer.
2, Define the ethical principles of clinical supervision & be able to apply the principles to the clinical supervisor role.
3. Delineate ethical challenges relevant to supervision and develop guidelines for managing these challenges.
4. Recognize appropriate supervisory skills and techniques.
5. Identify clinical supervision methods that will facilitate a positive relationship & professional growth between the supervisor and clinician.
6. Develop an individual action plan for supervising social workers towards their LCSW credentials.
7. Explain the various governments' policies and procedures concerning clinical supervision.
8. Summarize the NASW Code of Ethics' principles guiding clinical supervision.

Please Note: Upon completion of this program, attendees will have met and exceeded the 3-hour clinical supervision CE requirement required to act as a Social Work Supervisor in Delaware. (Note: To fully qualify under Board Rule 3.2, supervisors must also possess 3 hours of cultural competency CE and 6 hours of ethics CE within 4 years of a supervisee's application).  
The Delaware Board does not formally "credential" or issue a specialty license tier for clinical supervisors. Instead, eligibility is verified via self-attestation on the Supervisory Reference Form when the supervisee submits their clinical application.
