Continuing Education Approval

Effective February 24, NASW DE will no longer enter into CEU Agreements.  CEUs will continue to be reviewed and approved on a per course basis within the current guidelines.   NASW DE is reviewing its CEU fee structure. It is undetermined at this time if a similar agreement will continue in the future

Not all continuing education programs are created equal.  As an association we are committed to ensuring that the programs we offer meet the rigor and standards that the social workers in Delaware expect.  We also recognize that there are other institutions, organizations and thought leaders who create and offer exceptional programs.  Our Continuing Education Approval program allows outside entities the ability to apply to have their programs approved by the Chapter and offered to our community.  

Benefits of Approval

There are many reasons to have your program approved for credits through NASW-DE.  Outside of ensuring that your programs will meet the criteria of the licensing board, when your program is approved by us, you'll also receive: 

  • Increased credibility by the ability to list that your program is approved by NASW-DE
  • Advertising opportunities reach the NASW membership via our website, social media and weekly newsletters.  These advertising opportunities are exclusively for organizations and entities whom have their programs approved by the chapter. 
  • Support administering certificates is available.
